Yes, this is my “real” name; it’s spelled as “彩希” (Saiki) in Japanese.

I’m a pharmaceutical researcher turned self-taught artist.

In 2021, I finished my master’s degree in microbiology and started my research career in corporate Japan…which fell apart three years later when I had a health scare.

After half a year of being immobile and another half of putting my identity back together, I remembered what I originally set out to do:

I am here to be an expression of hope.

To show that light can be birthed in the darkest moments.

That is my story for why I make art.
